SEB Alliance, Groupe SEB's investment company, announces that it has invested in the Technocom 2 fund alongside the Fonds National d’Amorçage (FNA, fund of funds put in place by the French Government) which is managed by CDC Entreprises in the frame of the Programme d’Investissement d’Avenir (PIA, Investment program for the future), and three other industrial players (Orange, Alcatel-Lucent and Soitec). Technocom 2, which is specialised in financing digital start-ups, will be managed by the Innovacom teams.

With over 30 million euros backing at the end of the first round of commitments, Technocom 2 will finance, in amounts ranging from a few hundred thousand euros to several million euros, the creation of new companies arising from French public, academic and industrial research in the area of digital technology applied to networks, energy, digitally-connected homes and healthcare. Priority will be given to five technical areas: materials and components, embedded software systems, machine to machine and machine to user, data management, and very high speed connectivity.
