5 Key Management principles

Delegation of responsibility
Groupe SEB, a homogenous enterprise, relies on decentralization and delegation of responsibility. Its management system, a common language for communication between teams, serves as a reference. Our strategy is defined through a collaborative process. In the context of this strategy, operations proceed according to objectives defined and monitored by senior management. A certain level of authority is delegated to each responsibility centre, which directly controls the resources it needs, with a view to maximizing consolidated profit
Cohesion and cooperation
The organisational mode based on common processes and working methods, the communication policy and training make it possible, at every level, to develop each person’s responsibility, to set individual or collective objectives and to increase the autonomy of each member of staff. This is with a view to giving individual talent the scope to develop, in the interests of everyone and the Group as a whole. The mobility of men and women between the different departments is a key path to the cohesion of the Group.
Developing Qualifications
Identifying, managing and developing individual and collective skills is one of our top priorities. All employees are expected to devote themselves to their own professional development, in accordance with the opportunities offered by the Group. We encourage employees to be functionally and geographically mobile and/or to deepen their knowledge of a specific area of expertise. Each team is meant to become a center of excellence.
Project Management
As markets have globalized and our businesses expanded, so our structure has had to become more complex. Today, our priorities are: measuring results at the consolidated level, making operations cross-functional and networking. Our working methods are project-oriented and based on shared responsibility, solidarity and trust.
Earnings and career linked with personal commitment
Compensation policy is a tangible way of recognizing the value of each individual's work. It is linked both to individual success in achieving objectives as well as to the employee's demonstrated capacity for teamwork and team leadership. Apart from individual compensation, Groupe SEB offers an incentive policy linking employees directly to the Group's financial results via its profit-sharing plans, employee shareholding plans and other awards and bonuses.. |
