Heritage
In 2007, Groupe SEB will celebrate its 150th anniversary…if not more: if the ages of all the Group’s major brands are added together, the aggregate experience is no less than 968 years! A familiar part of our daily lives for so long, serving the homemaking market, the group’s activities and products belong to national cultural heritage.

On the basis of this conviction, in 2004 the Group set up an enterprise like no other in France: the Conservatoire SEB. Based in Lyon, this centre for study and research into the conservation and promotion of the cultural heritage of the Group and its brands has 3 main missions to fulfil:

The conservation of historical objects

So far, the Conservatoire is home to 8,000 products, 450,000 photos, 2,500 films, 260 metres of shelving for documents, etc., and its collections are constantly growing.

The use of this heritage

The Conservatoire regularly initiates or participates in operations that are aimed at promoting and highlighting aspects of this heritage: Exhibitions, Museums, Publications, Media (TV, press, radio), consulting assignments, etc.
