The Purchasing function is organised into two poles:
Market purchasing Department |
Project purchasing |
- The buyers on the sites integrate panel suppliers into project development
- They negotiate purchasing conditions by components
- They transfer their purchasing volumes to panel suppliers
- They implement productivity actions with suppliers
The teams are organised by technological family: |
Each of the Group’s industrial sites has its own team of project buyers: |
- Metallic and plastic materials
- Plastic parts, packaging, glass
- Metallic and electrical parts and sub-assemblies
- Off-production
- Purchasing quality
- Some project buyers also have technology-based expertise
- Off-production buyers
- Purchasing quality engineers
The purchasing function employs almost 210 people around the world.
In 2008, for all the Group’s sites taken together, purchases of components accounted for €655 M and €850 M off-production in the world. |
| We work with less than 2,000 production suppliers in the world. Of these, 312 are defined as panel suppliers, which means that they are recommended for their reliability, their perfomance and their financial health. |
