Social responsibility
Group SEB is gradually structuring its patronage policy around a single powerful focus, one that is very much in line with its humanistic values: combating social exclusion. The central theme is the heart of its sponsorship activities, in particular through its corporate foundation, created in June 2007. The foundation works in 3 separate fields: the reintegration into the employment market, social reintegration through the improvement of housing conditions and social reintegration through access to education and training.
A host of local initiatives are created and renewed every year: |
Relationships with local bodies
Groupe SEB, whose head office is based in the Rhone-Alps region, has forged close knit partnerships with associations from the area. It contributes to the association "Jeunes ambassadeurs de Lyon", a programme which welcomes and integrates foreign students into the region's economic and cultural scene. It is also a member of the networks "Entreprendre en Rhône Alpes" which helps business creators and "Emergences”, which has established a creative forum for "young talent".
As part of a cultural patronage operation, Groupe SEB participated, alongside around 20 other patrons, in the acquisition of the painting by Nicolas Poussin, "The Flight to Egypt", by the Museum of Fine Arts of the city of Lyon. |
