Inauguration of the RépareSeb repair centre

Inauguration of the RépareSeb repair centre

On October 12th, Thierry de La Tour d'Artaise, alongside Philippe Crouzet, President of ARES, and local elected officials, inaugurated RépareSeb: the first Parisian centre for collaborative repair, the circular economy and professional integration.

RépareSeb is a 900m² space located at 73 rue de la Chapelle in the 18th arrondissement of Paris. This unique project is the result of a social joint venture between Groupe SEB and Groupe ARES, the leading player in social integration through economic activity in the Paris region. This structure is mainly dedicated to the repair and refurbishment of the Group's products as well as to the rental of small household appliances. To date, 10 people on integration schemes work at RépareSeb.

We supported this project above all because of its strong social impact, which is part of a sustainable development approach with a twofold objective: to quickly make people who are far from employment and who have no technical training at the outset operational and to demonstrate the economic viability of the circular economy. Repairing what malfunctions instead of replacing it and throwing it away; this is the choice Groupe SEB made, well before the regulations, with products designed from the outset to be more dismantled. This affects the entire industry, the entire manufacturing process in our factories.
