SCHOOL RELATIONSHIPS, EVER-INCREASING INVOLVEMENT

SCHOOL RELATIONSHIPS, EVER-INCREASING INVOLVEMENT

In order to attract new talent, the Group is strengthening its School Relationships through complementary approaches:

–          Educational contribution. The Group gives students concrete cases to handle, highlighting their specificities. Its partnership with Audencia School of Management (Nantes) allows students work for three years on innovative projects destined for the Chinese market with the help of teams at Selongey and Supor in China. It also participates actively in the Grandes Ecoles Chairs: Grande Consommation à l’ESSEC (High Consumption at ESSEC Business School) and Innovation Management at Ecole Polytechnique (Institute of Technology).

–          Recruitment of trainees or entry jobs. Through its presence at School Forums and simulated job interviews, the Group continues building a close relationship with students from different walks of life, particularly business, engineering, and design schools. In this way in 2011, 250 trainees (with 4 or 5 years post-secondary education), around a hundred work-study contracts, and about fifteen IVB* have filled out the teams. Experience that may have given rise to a first job.

–          The attractiveness of the Groupe SEB employer brand. It is through organizing events (culinary association sponsorships, school competitions, career conferences…) and sponsoring class/year promotions at HEC or INSA Lyon, that the Group becomes known as a leading player in its field and identified as a potential employer. The “Connected Home” competition is a good example of the innovation problematic with a multidisciplinary approach (engineering, business, design schools, universities…).
