A RANGE DESIGNED FOR EVERYONE

France has nearly 12 million people with disabilities, i.e. 1 in 6 French people (Source: INSEE). In order to improve the accessibility of its products and services to as many people as possible (e.g. instructions, apps, appliance functions, etc.), Groupe SEB includes people with disabilities in the design process, in order to immediately detect any obstacles encountered in everyday life. The products in the INCLUDEO breakfast range have therefore been designed to be more manageable, easier and more visible. For example, the colours have been contrasted, the buttons have been made wider for better handling, the water level indicators are larger and the handles are more ergonomic. In partnership with HandiCaPZéro, the user manuals have been adapted in large print, Braille, audio and online. They will be made available free of charge.
The INCLUDEO range will be sold in our main distribution networks, on online sales sites and on Tefal.fr.

INCLUSIVE DESIGN FOR AN INCLUSIVE SOCIETY

The inclusive design approach is inspired by the diversity of the people who make up society to design products and services for the greatest number. Injury, illness, advanced age, situational disability, are all situations that must be taken into account if we want to preserve people's autonomy in their daily lives as long as possible. However, current manufacturing standards do not take into account these different circumstances of disability. By preparing for this today, Groupe SEB will be able to offer relevant solutions to address societal issues such as the ageing of the population. According to INSEE projections, by 2070, the proportion of people over 65 could reach 28.7% of the population.

Vincent Berry, Directeur Marketing de Groupe SEB France :

We are pleased to see the inclusive design approach take shape with the launch of the INCLUDEO range, which has been very well received by our distributor customers. Promoting inclusive design means working towards a more inclusive society because improving the accessibility of a product for people with disabilities is for the benefit of the greatest number.
