LES JARDINS DE LUCIE

Improving mobility for employees on inclusion schemes

A new shuttle for employees!

Set up in the Rhône department in 2001, the association “Les Jardins de Lucie” (“Lucie’s gardens”) aims to provide jobs for people in organic market gardening and employs 35 to 40 people per year, with 20 positions for people on inclusion schemes. The association distributes vegetable boxes locally and through direct sales. The association also organises educational visits and cookery workshops in various structures to encourage social connections.

The Fonds Groupe SEB has made a financial contribution to the “La Fabrique” building, which includes a workshop for preserving vegetables in jars, a communal hall and offices. The communal hall is used for training sessions, group educational visits and events with partner companies.

In 2020, the Fonds supported the purchase of a new vehicle, which is used to transport employees on inclusion schemes to the community garden in Communay, as there is no public transport serving this route.
