The Effiwatts hair dryers have obtained the “Solar Impulse—Efficient Solution” label from the “Solar Impulse” foundation created by Bertrand Piccard (a Swiss psychiatrist and aviator, initiator of the “Solar Impulse”). This label is awarded by a committee of experts using a strict process to select 1,000 ecological solutions that are also profitable. A perfect reflection of Groupe SEB’s determination.
Since hair dryers typically consume a lot of energy, they were one of the first products that Group SEB worked on to improve energy efficiency. And the research paid off! At the end of 2016, the Group introduced our exclusive Effiwatts technology in several Calor/Rowenta hair dryer models, offering high levels of performance and drying speed all while reducing energy consumption. This technology is now available in a dozen countries.
