As part of the Franco-Chinese Year of the Environment, the Paris regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its Franco-Chinese exchange committee have joined forces with KPMG for the second Franco-Chinese CSR awards. The aim is to reward a French company in China and a Chinese company in France for their excellent environmental and/or social performance.

This year, Groupe SEB was singled out for its philanthropy in Chinese primary schools.

In 2006, SUPOR launched its SUPOR Schools project to help underprivileged children from the remote regions of Central-Eastern China to get a good education. SUPOR finances the building of primary schools and facilities such as libraries and canteens. In addition to funding, SUPOR has been running training courses for teachers with the aid of educational specialists since 2010.

Employees from the subsidiary give a helping hand during Charity Week every year.
