Groupe SEB Korea held a “Tefal Home Cooking Restaurant” event to illustrate the theme “tasty and healthy with a home-cooked meal!” at the Cooking Studio of KBS, Korea’s leading public broadcaster, on September 19. Part of the Tefal Home Cooking Campaign, this event was repeated again this year to underline the value of a healthy home-cooked meal.

The event began with a Food Talk Show by Oh Se-deuk and Yoo Hyun-soo who are popular star chefs on the Cooking TV show. The MC was a producer, Lee Wook-jung, famous for cooking documentaries. Both chefs explained the importance of home-cooked meals, shared some interesting experiences and gave some background information on the recipes, demonstrating their culinary expertise and the advantage of cooking with Tefal products.

Chef Oh Se-deuk cooked braised garlic back ribs using the “Tefal gourmet induction ttukbaegi pot”, specially designed for Korean cuisine, together with stir-fried zucchini and spicy eggplant dishes and using also the Tefal induction frying pan which is extremely hardwearing thanks to its titanium pro coating.

Chef Yoo Hyun-soo presented two beverages made by blending seasonal fruits and herbs with hard parched rice and crushed ice using the Tefal High Speed and Blendforce plus glass blenders.

The 120 visitors to the Tefal Home Cooking Restaurant included social media influencers, journalists, KBS staff members and consumers who are interested in cooking as well as the winners of a Tefal Home Cooking contest. They checked out the innovative Tefal products on display and participated in various events to illustrate how easy it is to enjoy a healthy home-cooked meal. The event was covered in about 90 articles and photo news reports in major national and business dailies as well as monthly magazines. In addition, the participants voluntarily posted content on Instagram and YouTube.

Tefal Home Cooking campaigns have been running for a decade now. The purpose is to underline the social value of home-cooked meals, enhance the image of the Tefal brand and increase awareness.
