La Fabrique: an organic and community-minded market garden
LES JARDINS DE LUCIE

A laboratory for promoting production, sustaining activity and creating six integration positions
Founded in 2001 in the Rhone department, the Les Jardins de Lucie organization works in professional integration through organic market gardening. It employs 35 to 40 people a year, or 20 salaried positions on an integration basis. It distributes vegetable baskets locally and via direct sales. It organizes educational visits and cooking workshops at ADOMA social housing structures to create social relations.
The organization's "La Fabrique" project aims to develop a new vegetable processing service for organic and local producers and the processing of garden vegetables in jars for baskets and out-of-home consumption. The new activity is expected to create six new integration jobs.
The Groupe SEB Fund contributed to financing the new laboratory, operational since September 2015. The Fund also financed the second phase of "La Fabrique" through the development of a common room and offices and the acquisition of additional material for vegetable processing. The common room will be used for training courses, group receptions as part of educational visits, and events with partner businesses.
