At the start of the pandemic, we rolled out new coatings for the Group’s Chinese and Columbian entities. Unable to carry out a close and thorough on-site observation, we worked remotely via telephone conferences and by sharing photos and videos. Although this system had its limitations, it nevertheless enabled us to make progress on our projects and to maintain close links with our international colleagues. And, we would not have been able to do this without the valuable help of members of the Complex Products Manufacturing workshop (Fabrication Produits Complexes) at Rumilly, who manufactured the new formulations, nor without Alexandra Riehl, from the Coating Development team, who helped us to optimize these new products. The pandemic also underlined the utmost importance of teamwork. Forging solid links enabled each and every one of us to better understand the tasks of others and to anticipate needs, requests and problems.
