In Turkey, all Human Resources employees have found it challenging to manage the pandemic and its effects because no one knew how to react to the situation when it started. In retrospect, I think we all worked well despite the regular changes to government regulations. It was complicated to adapt to working from home, as many documents weren’t online. Certain projects therefore had to wait until we returned to the office. We also had to handle the furlough payments provided by the government. It wasn’t easy, and the process was hardly smooth, but we eventually managed to work through each problem by learning every day and working as a team. This crisis has made me realise that communication and the collective are the most important parts of the company. And that we still have so much to learn from each other!
