Acquiring enough masks was one of the biggest challenges. But as our Management team reacted to the situation very early on, we were able to purchase everything we needed very quickly. What changed after that was that we were no longer assessing risks on machines or within production processes, but rather using installation management to assess social distancing in workplaces and offices while finding solutions. Weekly meetings with the Operations Management team to discuss the Covid-19 situation were very useful. Thanks to these meetings, we were able to quickly coordinate and solve a number of problems. As I was also involved in the HR working group, I was able to bring together Operations and HR issues. My experience working at WMF for almost forty years and the fact I know many people working there also helped things.
